If you take the shuttle bus on the Hermit Road Route all the way to the end of the line you will find yourself at Hermits Rest. Seeing most visitors seem to stop at the many vista points before this stop, you will normally find this area to be rather quiet.
Shortly down the path from the bus stop you'll see an archway welcoming you to Hermits Rest. It looked like an interesting subject to photograph so I did. Instead of taking a photo of the entire arch, I thought it would look better to only include the most interesting parts, the sign and the old bell that had a hole in it. I like the look of the partial arch set against the cloudless blue sky and Douglas Fir trees.
